Youth Ministry News and Events

Join the St. John's Youth Group during Lent for dinner, worship, and fellowship in the St. John's Lutheran School Gymnasium.

The Youth Group meets in the St. John's Lutheran Church Christian Life Center at 5:30 p.m. every Wednesday during Lent for a delicious meal with our peers.

Then, the Youth Group chooses to sit together in the sanctuary for the Lenten worship service, or you may sit with your family. The Lenten Worship Service starts at 6:30 p.m.

After the service, the Youth Group runs to the St. John's Lutheran School - Gymnasium entrance on Armstrong Street for an hour of Christ-Centered fellowship. Each week presents a new fun activity until 8:30 p.m.

The St. John's Youth Group will be hosting the 2026 March Madness Chili Cookoff. This group has hosted for several years and has tons of fun doing it.

The Youth Group will set up the St. John's School Gymnasium on Saturday, March 7th, at 4 p.m. and then, if they wish, attend the 5:30 p.m. worship service together. Worship attendance is highly encouraged, and St. John's Lutheran Ministries has three opportunities to attend: Saturday at 5:30 p.m., Sunday at 8:00 a.m., and Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

On Sunday, the St. John's Youth Group will assist with final details of the setup and greet guests as they arrive. The Youth Group is encouraged to participate and lend a hand. Specific details will be shared during the Wednesday, March 4th Youth Group.

This special Easter event is a wonderful opportunity for our youth to serve the younger children of our ministries while keeping Christ at the center of the celebration.

With the help of donations from our congregation, the Youth Group will:

Fill Easter eggs and prepare Easter bags to share with children on Easter Day. Hide the Mini-Jesus figures for the Treasure Hunt. Help children “seek and find” Jesus during the event. Hand out Easter bags to participants, and welcome and encourage families to stay for breakfast in the Christian Life Center.

This is a meaningful way for our youth to lead, serve, and share the joy of the resurrection. The Youth are encouraged to join in preparation on April 1st and attend the event on April 5th
