St. John’s Girls Volleyball Team — Making a Joyful Noise!
What a season for the St. John’s Girls Volleyball Team! From the very first serve to the final match, our girls played with passion, teamwork, and unshakable school spirit. Every game was filled with energy, encouragement, and a whole lot of joyful noise — just as Psalm 4:5 reminds us!
This year, the team worked hard in practice and gave their all on the court, earning many well-deserved wins. But more than that, they showed what it truly means to play for the glory of God. Whether spiking, diving, or cheering from the sidelines, their enthusiasm and unity reflected their faith and love for one another.
One unforgettable highlight came when the St. John’s girls attended a Portage Public High School volleyball game. With big smiles and even bigger voices, they led cheers from the stands — and even started the wave! Their excitement was contagious, and the Portage Warriors were so inspired that they named the St. John’s girls their official Warriors Volleyball Team Cheerleaders!
We couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments, both on and off the court. The St. John’s Girls Volleyball Team showed that when we play with joy, faith, and friendship, we truly “make a joyful noise” to the Lord and to everyone around us.
Congratulations, girls, on a wonderful season! Go St. John’s Warriors!

Athletic Partnership with Portage Community School District
St. John’s Lutheran School partners with the Portage Community School District to provide additional athletic opportunities for our students. Through this collaboration, students in 7th and 8th grades can participate in Boys' basketball, football, wrestling, and track & field alongside their peers in the district.
This partnership allows our students to grow in teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship while representing both their school and community.
